Tierra Mojada (Wet Land) (Current work in progress)
Tierra Mojada (Wet Land) is a design/video/performance project in which the artist undresses by wearing clothes that get dissolved, degraded, or eaten: from water soluble clothing that dissolves while standing under the rain, to edible shoes that get eaten off of her feet.
Itala activates the pieces in performances and records them on videos made in collaboration with filmmaker Joshua Bogatin.
This project is being made thanks to the support of the New York State Council on the Arts and Flux Factory.
